The Governing Body is closely involved in the work of the school and is formed from a mixed group of parents, members of the local community and staff. The Governors meet regularly as a group each term and also as -committees covering premises, Staffing & Finance and Curriculum. The committees plan and monitor the school’s policies.

Are you interested in becoming a Governor?
If so then please contact the Headteacher via the school office, who can give you an idea of what is involved. We can also arrange for you to meet up with another Governor or attend a meeting on a trial basis.
The Governing body plays an important part in the strategic development of the school, ensuring the highest possible standards of educational achievement. They come from all walks of life and all have something different to offer – from a listening ear as a critical friend to specific skills. They represent the community as unpaid volunteers, providing links and helping to sustain the school’s identity.
If you share a belief in helping all children to achieve their potential and realise their aspirations then please consider joining our Governing Body.
