Our School prospectus tells you about the school aims, policies, organisation and routines.
It is important that your children are happy and secure in school so that they may develop as individuals both academically and socially, prepared for the challenges that face them in future years.
We offer a creative curriculum which is broad, balanced and meets the needs of the National Curriculum.
We enable children to progress at an appropriate rate for them, allowing the more able to fast track and the child with learning difficulties the time and pace to consolidate their learning.
Children learn at different rates and we always aim to personalise learning through the use of differentiated programmes and tasks.
The way in which children are introduced to school is vital. We offer a supportive induction programme for both parents and children. Obviously children enter school at different stages in their learning and development and this is taken into consideration and assessed during the first term in school.
As parents you will always be kept informed of your children’s progress. You, as parents have a vital role to play in promoting the development of your children. It is an established fact that children learn best when both home and school share the same goals.
We welcome parents into school to share their children’s learning and value the role of the parent helper in all classes and age groups. Please let me know if you would like to help, you do not need any special skills …. just time and patience!
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you would like any more information please do not hesitate to contact me, my door is always open.
